TOMS Overview |
|
Task Order Management System (TOMS) – As integrating contractor, Lockheed Martin provides vendor management services for the ACE-IT team. and the Task Order Management System (TOMS) is one of the tools ACE-IT uses for that purpose. In a nutshell, IM/IT vendors interested in doing business with USACE are requested to register in TOMS, completing a profile which lists current capabilities, locations supported, and specific technical or geographic areas targeted for business growth. ACE-IT receives requests for IM/IT support from USACE customers via our enterprise service request system, and then uses TOMS to identify vendors whose profiles match customer needs. These vendors are notified by TOMS (through email) of each new opportunity, and they then use TOMS to learn the details, make a bid/no-bid decision, and submit their proposal.
Help TOMS Help You – ACE-IT vendors are encouraged to enroll in TOMS and ensure their profile information is accurate, complete, and current. TOMS will be the primary ACE-IT search engine for matching potential vendors against USACE IM/IT opportunities, and for communicating with vendors during the selection process. Vendors are cautioned against overstating their potential capabilities in their TOMS profile, as feedback from previous proposal efforts and ongoing ACE-IT operations is included in our vendor selection process. Your attention to detail in the TOMS profile will help us quickly match your evolving company strengths to current USACE IM/IT needs. Thanks!
Making TOMS Better – TOMS is a proven system, but ACE-IT is always interested in things we can do to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our IM/IT support to USACE. If you have thoughts or suggestions on how we might improve TOMS or our vendor outreach process, please contact our Subcontracts Manager or Chief Technology Officer. Thanks for your help in delivering the best possible IM/IT services to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers!
